The Problem:
Sustainability is often more medicine than sugar. How do you inspire the world to see sustainable architecture as adding to, vs. detracting from, our lives?
The Insight:
Hedonistic sustainability! Humans are more motivated by luxury than sustainability. What if every sustainable building also brought more pleasure into people’s lives?
The Idea:
CopenHill Power Plant: an eco-friendly waste-to-energy power plant that sports a ski slope on its roof. Designed by Bjarke Ingels, it is the nearest ski slope to Copenhagen.
